Surah Yaseen
36. QS. Yasin
Yasin
Wal-Qur-aanil-Hakiim
2. For the sake of the Qur'an which is full of wisdom,
Innaka laminal mursaliin
3. indeed, you (Muhammad) are one of the messengers,
'Alaa Siraatim Mustaqiim
4. (who are) on a straight path,
Tanziilal 'Aziizir Rahiim
5. (as a revelation sent down by (Allah) the Mighty, the Merciful,
Litunzira qawmam maaa unzira aabaaa'uhum fahum ghaafiluun
6. that you may warn a people whose fathers have never been warned, so they are negligent.
Laqad haqqal qawlu 'alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu'minuun
7. Indeed, the word (of punishment) will surely come upon most of them, because they do not believe.
Innaa ja'alnaa fiii a'naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal azqooni fahum muqmahuun
8. Indeed, We have put fetters on their necks, then their hands (are raised) to their chins, so they look up.
Wa ja'alnaa mim baini aydiihim saddanw-wa min khalfihim saddan fa aghshai naahum fahum laa yubsiruun
9. And We made before them a partition (wall) and behind them a partition also, and We closed (their eyes) so that they could not see.
Wa sawaaa'un 'alaihim 'a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu'minuun
10. And it is the same for them, whether you warn them or you do not warn them, they will not believe either.
Innamaa tunziru manit taba 'az-Zikra wa khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaib, fabashshirhu bimaghfiratinw-wa ajrin kariim
11. Indeed, you only warn those who are willing to follow the warning and who fear their Merciful Lord, even though they do not see Him.
Innaa Nahnu nuhyil mawtaa wa naktubu maa qaddamuu wa aasaarahum; wa kulla shai'in ahsainaahu fiii Imaamim Mubiin
12. Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life, and it is We who record what they have done and the marks they have left.
Wadrib lahum masalan Ashaabal Qaryatih; iz jaaa'ahal mursaluun
13. And make a parable for them, the people of a land, when messengers come to them;
Iz arsalnaaa ilaihimusnaini fakazzabuuhumaa fa'azzaznaa bisaalisin faqooluuu innaaa ilaikum mursaluun
14. (i.e.) when We sent them two messengers, and they denied them; then We strengthened them with a third, and the third said, "Indeed, we are those sent to you."
Qooluu maaa antum illaa basharum mislunaa wa maaa anzalar Rahmaanu min shai'in in antum illaa takzibuun
15. They (the people of the land) said, "You are but men like us, and (Allah) the Merciful has not sent down anything; you are but liars."
Qooluu Rabbunaa ya'lamu innaaa ilaikum lamursaluun
16. They said, "Our Lord knows that we are His messengers to you.
Wa maa 'alainaaa illal balaaghul mubiin
17. And our duty is only to convey (Allah's commands) clearly."
Qooluu innaa tataiyarnaa bikum la'il-lam tantahuu lanar jumannakum wa la-yamassan nakum minnaa 'azaabun aliim
18. They said, "Indeed, we are unfortunate because of you. Indeed, if you had not stopped (calling us), we would have stoned you and you would have felt a painful torment from us."
Qooluu taaa'irukum ma'akum; a'in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifuun
19. They (the messengers) said, "Your misfortune is of your own making. Is it because you were warned? Indeed, you are a transgressing people."
Wa jaaa'a min aqsal madiinati rajuluny yas'aa qoola yaa qawmit tabi'ul mursaliin
20. And there came from the end of the city a man, hurrying and saying, "O my people!
Ittabi'uu mal-laa yas'alukum ajranw-wa hum muhtaduun
21. Follow those who ask no reward of you; and they are the ones who are guided.
Wa maa liya laaa a'budul lazii fataranii wa ilaihi turja'uun
22. And there is no reason for me not to worship the One who created me and to Him alone will you be returned.
'A-attakhizu min duunihiii aalihatan iny-yuridnir Rahmaanu bidurril-laa tughni 'annii shafaa 'atuhum shai 'anw-wa laa yunqizuun
23. Why would I worship other gods besides Him? If (Allah) the Merciful wills calamity against me, surely their help will be of no avail to me and they (too) will not be able to save me.
Inniii izal-lafii dalaa-lim-mubiin
24. Indeed, if I had done so, I would have been in clear error.
Inniii aamantu bi Rabbikum fasma'uun
25. Verily, I have believed in your Lord; so listen to my confession of faith."
Qiilad khulil Jannnah; qoola yaa laita qawmii ya'lamuun
26. It was said (to him), "Enter Paradise." He (the man) said, "It would be good if my people knew,
Bimaa ghafara lii Rabbii wa ja'alanii minal mukramiin
27. what caused my Lord to forgive me and make me one of those who have been honored."
Wa maaa anzalnaa 'alaa qawmihii mim ba'dihii min jundim minas-samaaa'i wa maa kunnaa munziliin
28. And after him, We did not send down any army from the heavens to his people, nor did We need to.
In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum khaamiduun
29. There is no torment for them but a single cry; then they die instantly.
Yaa hasratan 'alal 'ibaad; maa yaatiihim mir Rasuulin illaa kaanuu bihii yastahzi 'uun
30. How great is the regret of those servants that whenever a messenger comes to them, they make fun of him.
Alam yaraw kam ahlak naa qablahum minal quruuni annahum ilaihim laa yarji'uun
31. Do they not know how many nations before them We destroyed. Those (whom We have destroyed) no one returns to them.
Wa in kullul lammaa jamii'ul-ladainaa muhdaruun
32. And every (people), all of them will be brought before Us.
Wa Aayatul lahumul ardul maitatu ahyainaahaa wa akhrajnaa minhaa habban faminhu yaakuluun
33. And a sign (of Allah's greatness) for them is the dead (barren) earth. We give life to the earth and We bring forth grain from it, so they eat from it.
Wa ja'alnaa fiihaa jannaatim min nakhiilinw wa a'naabinw wa fajjarnaa fiiha minal 'uyuun
34. And We made for it gardens of dates and grapes, and We sent forth springs of water,
Liyaakuluu min samarihii wa maa 'amilat-hu aidiihim; afalaa yashkuruun
35. that they may eat of its fruit, and of the labor of their hands. So why are they not grateful?
36. Glory be to Allah who has created everything in pairs, both of what the earth and themselves grow, and of what they do not know.
Wa Aayatul lahumul lailu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimuun
37. And a sign (of Allah's greatness) for them is the night; We take away the day from it, and they are in darkness,
Wash-shamsu tajrii limustaqarril lahaa; zaalika taqdiirul 'Aziizil Aliim
38. and the sun goes in its circuit. Such is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
Walqamara qaddarnaahu manaazila hattaa 'aada kal'ur juunil qadiim
39. And We have fixed a place of circulation for the moon, so that (when it reaches the last place of circulation) it returns to the shape of an old bunch.
Lash shamsu yambaghii lahaaa an tudrikal qamara wa lal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fii falaki yasbahuun
40. It is not possible for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor can the night precede the day. Each circulates on its own axis.
Wa Aayatul lahum annaa hamalnaa zurriyatahum fil fulkil mashhuun
41. And a sign (of Allah's greatness) for them is that We carried their descendants in a laden ship,
Wa khalaqnaa lahum mim-mislihii maa yarkabuun
42. and We have created for them (other transportation) like that on which they ride.
Wa in nashaa nughriqhum falaa sariikha lahum wa laa hum yunqazuun
43. And if We will, We will drown them. So there is no helper for them nor will they be saved,
Illaa rahmatam minnaa wa mataa'an ilaa hiin
44. but (We saved them) out of great mercy from Us and to give them the pleasure of life until a certain time.
45. And when it is said to them, "Fear the punishment that is before you (in this world) and the punishment that is to come (hereafter) so that you may have mercy."
Wa maa taatiihim min aayatim min ayataati Rabbihim illaa kaanuu 'anhaa mu'ridiin
46. And whenever a sign of God's signs comes to them, they turn away from it.
Wa izaa qiila lahum anfiquu mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qoolal laziina kafaruu lillaziina aamanuuu anut'imu mal-law yashaaa'ul laahu at'amahuuu in antum illaa fii dalaalim mubiin
47. And when it is said to them, "Spend some of the sustenance which Allah has given you," the disbelievers say to the believers, "Is it proper that we should feed those whom Allah would feed if He wished? You are indeed in manifest error."
Wa yaquuluuna mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqiin
48. And they (the disbelievers) said, "When will the promise (of the Day of Resurrection) occur if you are truthful?"
Maa yanzuruuna illaa saihatanw waahidatan taa khuzuhum wa hum yakhissimuun
49. They are only waiting for one cry, which will destroy them while they are quarreling.
Falaa yastatii'uuna taw siyatanw-wa laaa ilaaa ahlihim yarji'uun
50. So they are unable to make a will and they are unable to return to their families.
Wa nufikha fis-suuri faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiluun
51. Then the trumpet was blown, and immediately they came out of their graves (alive) to their Lord.
Qooluu yaa wailanaa mam ba'asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa'adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaluun
52. They said, "Woe to us! Who has raised us from our beds (graves)?" This is what (Allah) the Merciful has promised and true are His messengers.
In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamii'ul ladainaa muhdaruun
53. The cry was only once, then at once they were all brought before Us (for judgment).
Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai'anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maluun
54. On that Day, no one will be harmed in the least, and you will not be rewarded except according to what you have done.
Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fii shughulin faakihuun
55. Verily, the dwellers of Paradise on that Day will rejoice in their busyness.
Hum wa azwaajuhum fii zilaalin 'alal araaa'iki muttaki'uun
56. They and their partners were in the shade, reclining on cots.
Lahum fiihaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda'uun
57. In Paradise they will have fruits and whatever they desire.
Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Rahiim
58. (To them it is said), "Salam," as a greeting from the Most Merciful Lord.
Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimuun
59. And (it is said to the disbelievers), "Separate yourselves (from the believers) this day, O sinners!
Alam a'had ilaikum yaa Baniii Aadama al-laa ta'budush Shaitaana innahuu lakum 'aduwwum mubiin
60. Have I not commanded you, O children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan? Indeed, Satan is a real enemy to you,
Wa ani'buduunii; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqiim
61. and you shall worship Me. This is the straight path."
Wa laqad adalla minkum jibillan kasiiraa; afalam takuunuu ta'qiluun
62. And indeed, he (the devil) has misled most of you. Then do you not understand?
Haazihii Jahannamul latii kuntum tuu'aduun
63. This is the Jahanam of which you were warned.
Islawhal Yawma bimaa kuntum takfuruun
64. Enter into it today because you used to deny it.
Al-Yawma nakhtimu 'alaaa afwaahihim wa tukallimunaaa aidiihim wa tashhadu arjuluhum bimaa kaanuu yaksibuun
65. Today We will shut their mouths; their hands will speak to Us and their feet will bear witness to what they used to do.
Wa law nashaaa'u lata masna 'alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiruun
66. And if We had willed, We would have blotted out the sight of their eyes, and they would have raced (to find) the way. So how can they see?
Wa law nashaaa'u lamasakhnaahum 'alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa'uu mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji'uun
67. And if We had willed, We would have transfigured them where they were, so that they could neither walk nor return.
Wa man nu 'ammirhu nunakkishu fil-khalq; afalaa ya'qiluun
68. And whomever We prolong the life of, We will surely return him to the beginning.
